Privacy Policy

👋 Overview

TemplePath ("the app", "we", "us") is built by Blake Price as a free tool for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints preparing to attend the temple. This Privacy Policy describes how the app handles information when you use it.

💾 Data Stored on Your Device

TemplePath stores the following data locally on your device only, using Apple's SwiftData framework:

• Your first name (entered during onboarding)
• Your temple visit date (if you choose to set one)
• Lesson progress and completion status
• Journal entries and their content
• Goals you have created
• Daily scriptures you have bookmarked
• Study activity records (used to calculate your streak)

Your notification preferences (enabled/disabled, time, frequency) are stored using Apple's UserDefaults, also locally on your device.

None of this data is transmitted to any server, third party, or cloud service by TemplePath.

🚫 Data We Do Not Collect

TemplePath does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your full name, email address, or any contact information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Analytics or usage telemetry
• Crash reports sent to external services
• Any data from your journal, goals, or lesson progress

We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking tools.

🔔 Notifications

If you enable study reminders, TemplePath will request permission from iOS to send local push notifications. These notifications are:

• Scheduled entirely on your device — no server is involved
• Fully configurable (time and frequency) in the app or in iOS Settings
• Removable at any time by disabling reminders in the app or revoking permission in iOS Settings

No notification content or delivery data is sent to or from any external service.

☁️ iCloud

TemplePath's current version stores data locally and does not use iCloud sync. If iCloud sync is introduced in a future update, this policy will be updated accordingly and you will be notified.

The Resources section of the app contains links to external websites, including:

These links open in your device's browser. TemplePath is not responsible for the privacy practices of these external websites. Please refer to their respective privacy policies.

👶 Children's Privacy

TemplePath does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since all data is stored locally on the device and nothing is transmitted to our servers, there is no mechanism by which we would receive such data.

📝 Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes that affect how your data is handled, we will provide notice within the app.

Continued use of TemplePath after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
